Tuesday, February 8, 2022 – Knee Replacement Surgery

My left knee replacement surgery is scheduled for Feb. 17. I am having it done in Tulsa by the same doctor that did my right knee. Because I am single, I have the surgery done in Tulsa so I can stay with my sister and her husband who live in nearby Bartlesville. It was great when I stayed with them seven years ago when I had my right knee replaced because my sister waited on my hand and foot. She was a great nurse. Tomorrow I am driving to Bartlesville because I have a pre-op appointment for a pain med injection in my knee on Thursday. Staying at my sister’s for the 3-week rehab after the surgery, so won’t return back to the Dallas area until around March 10. Doing some major packing right now. I would hate to get to Oklahoma and forget something since I will be gone for about a month. I am looking forward to being able to walk without pain again. So, I am taking another short vacation from writing this blog to recover fully from my surgery. Hope you will be hearing from me again around mid-March.
